Heineken teamed up with beloved Embargo Container Bar to throw the ultimate end of summer party, Heineken Saturday.

We headed down to Elizabeth Quay to enjoy the sunshine at Perth's latest and biggest Heineken event on Mar 11.
For the first time in Perth, Heineken docked at Elizabeth Quay where we joined them for their flagship party. They teamed up with beloved Embargo Container Bar to throw the ultimate end of summer party, Heineken Saturday.
It doesn't get much better than cool vibes, delicious food, cold Heineken and DJ sets from nationally known artists. The afternoon started with a number of local musicians leading up to headlining acts, Miami Horror and Yacht Club DJ's who brought the party with some of their awesome new material!
What makes Embargo stand out from other Perth venues is it's designed from shipping containers re-engineered into two-storey pop up bars. Embargo was draped in the iconic green colour of Heineken and guests were wearing freebie Heineken fedoras. Going that extra mile with a beautiful wall of green leaves where guests could grab a quick photo.
The sky was glowing pink and orange as the sunset created fantastic silhouettes of guests wearing their new hats. It was worth the visit just to see the fabluous view of our city and river from the upstairs rooftop deck as the evening descended and the DJs took over the party with cool tunes and flashing lights until midnight.
Heineken Saturday has now officially packed up and sailed on from WA to make their mark at Victoria's Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix on March 25th.
If you missed out on Heineken Saturday, don't stress! Until April 2, Embargo will still be the ultimate hotspot to let your hair down and have a good time. Every weekend, local singers and DJs will be sure to keep the good vibes rolling.
If you're planning on heading down to the quay, a little preparation goes a long way. On weekends, Elizabeth Quay will be packed with thousands of tourists and locals looking for a good time. Get down early to miss the inevitable queues and if you're hoping for a seat with all your mates we suggest getting there before sundown.
The dress-code is smart casual, so scrub up nicely but stay comfortable. It can get a little cool after sundown so be prepared. As for the ladies wanting to rock stilettos, this is an outdoor grassed venue so maybe opt for wedges or flats.
This venue has truly transformed the quay into a party hotspot this summer season and, with only a couple weeks left, don't miss out on the fun at Embargo!
