A local neighborhood bar and café in Subiaco, Bark is in fact the smallest bar in town. Don’t be deterred by this, Bark offers old-fashioned hospitality and friendly service. Step below the CBD and into the dimly-lit, enchanting Bobeche bar. Trademarked for its offering of free-flowing popcorn, this carnival-themed bar is heavily influenced by the golden era of speakeasies and is the perfect late-night hang for city bar-hoppers. Perhaps most famous for serving their cocktails in decorative teapots, Bobeche also offer a Hot Coconut Buttered Rum special during the cooler season.

Tucked away from the bustle of Northbridge, Frisk may be small – but it is filled to the brim with over 180 varieties of exquisite gin. This dog-friendly bar also offers a large selection of whisky, wine, beer and cider – and don’t skimp on the bar snacks which include cheese boards, charcoal pork jerky and even marshmallow-filled dessert toasties.

Rodney’s Bait and Tackle

A quirky neighbourhood bar, Rodney’s boasts a huge collection of vintage fishing gear. Located in Mosman Park, the venue’s cosy alcove features a double-sided fireplace perfectly placed next to comfy sofas. In the evenings, expect to hear live jazz, blues and island tunes – perfectly accompanied by a drink from its boat-shaped bar.

The Cabin
