Artist | Rebecca Baumann is an acclaimed WA interdisciplinary artist known for her distinctive use of colour, light and time. Named one of five artists to watch by Art Collector magazine, she is represented internationally and has a burgeoning reputation overseas. Artwork | Manoeuvres, commissioned specifically for Fremantle Arts Centre, comprises a choreographed series of electromagnetic flip-dot displays, reminiscent of those once used in the stock market. A series of 15 flip-dot screens will be arranged in a spatial field throughout the FAC, for a captivating and kaleidoscopic installation.

Artwork | Baumann repurposed a tri-vision billboard, replacing the aluminium prisms with iridescent acrylic. Displayed under a spotlight, the rotating prisms project colour throughout the gallery, leaving it awash with moving and refracting light. This work is on display as part of Manoeuvres, until January 24.
